The Chin Community of Indiana (CCI) is a vital resource dedicated to empowering Chin refugees and immigrants to be self-sufficient. Over the past year, CCI has provided critical services to support their integration, well-being, and empowerment in Indiana.
Core Services & Service Breakdown
Our services are strategically focused on addressing the community's most critical needs, with Employment Assistance being the most in-demand service at 41.1%.
Signature Programs
We run several high-impact programs designed to address complex, specific community challenges.
CCI is the first cultural organization in the nation to offer Batterer Intervention Programming in both Burmese and Chin languages.
We reached 1,500–2,000 community members with crucial education on domestic violence awareness through church visitations
Chin Against Domestic Violence (CADV)
Youth Violence Prevention
We address rising gang violence among Chin youth through a focus on Education, Recreation, and Mentorship.
Key strategies include the Winter League sports program and providing safe spaces for youth.
Research has shown that peer pressure and a lack of family connection are key drivers of gang affiliation
Monthly Senior Gatherings
This program combats social isolation among seniors, who often face limited transportation and physical constraints.
Activities include group outings to places like the zoo and state parks.

Youth Mental Health Program Impact Report
Breaking stigma, building resilience among Chin youth.
Through our Chin Youth Mental Health Initiative, we partnered with churches, counselors, and health professionals to empower young people with practical coping strategies and faith-based support.

Our Chin Senior Gathering Program continues to bring seniors together for fellowship, health education, and cultural activities that promote well-being and belonging.
